Wimbledon Prize Money 2015: Updated Purse Payout for All England Club

The match came in at just under three hours of actual playing time, not including a relatively brief rain delay. In a tense affair that featured some brilliant tennis, Federer's 35 unforced errors were a big part of his undoing. It's a disappointing—but considering his age, hardly discouraging—result for Federer, who lost to Djokovic in five sets in last year's Wimbledon final and hasn't won his favorite tournament since 2012.
"I have to say it's a big challenge playing against Roger," said Djokovic, via BBC Sport. "A lot of players of my generation have looked up to him and followed his lead."
It was a fine conclusion to two weeks of tennis at the All England Club in London. Sunday also saw the closure of many other tournament brackets, including mixed doubles, girls and boys doubles and boys singles.
Wimbledon being the prestigious tournament that it is, there was plenty of prize money to hand out to contestants. In the men's and women's singles draw, the total prize money saw an eight percent increase over last year's purse, per Wimbledon.com.

What's Next for the Top Seeds?
Djokovic's win as the tournament's top overall seed was matched in the women's draw by Serena Williams, who defeated up-and-coming Garbine Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 in the championship final on Saturday. Wimbledon's official Twitter account noted it's been quite some time since both No. 1 seeds took home the top prizes at the calendar year's third Grand Slam:
