Wimbledon Betting Preview: Djokovic, Williams 2016 Tournament Odds Favorites

Djokovic is listed as -150 chalk (bet $150 to win $100) at sportsbooks monitored by Odds Shark, while the man he beat each of the last two years could meet him in the semifinals.
Seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer is the +1200 third choice (bet $100 to $1,200) behind Djokovic and No. 2 seed Andy Murray (+350), who won the tourney in 2013.
Federer has battled Djokovic in a pair of classic title matches that went five and four sets in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Before that, Murray upset Djokovic in straight sets three years ago, after he fell to Federer in four sets back in 2012.
Murray has a more favorable draw than either Djokovic or Federer due to the fact that they may play each other before the final, while No. 4 seed Stan Wawrinka (+2500) looms down the road for him in a potential semifinal matchup.
Wawrinka has never made it to the final and was upset by No. 21 seed Richard Gasquet in the quarterfinals a year ago. Sitting ahead of Wawrinka on the Wimbledon betting odds board are No. 6 Milos Raonic (+1400) and No. 15 Nick Kyrgios (+2200).
On the ladies’ side, top seed Venus Williams will try again for her first Grand Slam title in 2016 after coming up short in both the Australian Open and French Open finals. Williams is the defending champion and a six-time winner at Wimbledon, so it’s no surprise to see her as the +150 favorite on the tennis betting lines over the two women she lost to earlier this year.
