Wimbledon 2014 Results: Highlighting Noteworthy Day 7 Scores from London

In one of the first matches of Day 7, John Isner was upset at the hands of Feliciano Lopez to ensure an American did not make it through to the Round of 16—quite a feat, as noted by Wimbledon's Twitter account:
That was just the beginning of an epic day in London marred by upsets and colossal shifts in the draw on both the men's and women's sides. Here is a look at the most notable results from early in the day's proceedings.

Isner, the tournament's No. 9 seed, fired off an outstanding 52 aces on Monday against the No. 19 seed, a number that would see any normal contender through to the next round with relative ease.
Except the 29-year-old succumbed whenever the occasion asked him to rise to it.
As Wimbledon noted, Isner's prowess at tiebreaks was what made him so formidable:
Except on Monday against Lopez. He took the first set via tiebreak, but proceeded to lose the next two and ultimately succumbed to the pressure. For the 32-year-old Spaniard, the triumph while firing off just 10 unforced errors is an important one, as captured by the ATP World Tour's website:
[There were] a lot of aces. [It was] at tough match to play. I knew it was going to be like this. I knew we going to play a lot of tie-breaks, so this is the match I was excepting to play. Luckily I made it. I'm very happy to go through. It was a very difficult one for me today. When you beat players like John, when you go through a difficult match like this, you have to be proud of yourself. To beat Johnny on that court is such is difficult task, and I made it.
