Wimbledon 2014: Day 8 Schedule, Matchups Predictions for London Bracket

The second week of Wimbledon promises to be even better than the first.
With top players like No. 3 seed Andy Murray and No. 13 seed Eugenie Bouchard advancing to the next round and other big names like No. 4 seed Agnieszka Radwanska and No. 16 seed Caroline Wozniacki faltering, the excitement only continues to grow moving forward.

No. 3 Simona Halep vs. Zarina Diyas
There were few tennis fans and experts talking about Simona Halep coming into the 2014 season, but she has stolen many headlines with her elite play and consistency.
Halep may be coming off a devastating loss to Maria Sharapova in the final of the 2014 French Open, but at only 22 years old, the Romanian player is building the foundation for a great Grand Slam career.
As Sports Illustrated’s tennis Twitter account shared, Halep is besting herself every tournament:
The key to her success is starting a tournament hot and carrying that momentum for the rest of the event. Halep beat Teliana Pereira, 6-2, 6-2, in the first round, Lesia Tsurenko in the second, 6-3, 4-6, 6-4, and Belinda Bencic in the third, 6-4, 6-1.
After dropping only one set through the first three rounds, momentum is on Halep’s side.
