Wimbledon 2014: Day 7 Results, Highlights and Scores Recap from All England Club

Williams lost to Alize Cornet in three sets on Saturday, and the early exit signals yet another poor showing at the All England Club for one of the best women's competitors in the sport (she was knocked out in Round 4 last year).
Several ladies were upset on Monday, following in the unfortunate footsteps of the younger Williams sister. One top competitor didn't even get to take the court on Monday, however, as Maria Sharapova's match against Angelique Kerber was postponed due to rain:

John Isner Falls to Feliciano Lopez
John Isner was the lone American remaining at the All England Club entering action on Monday, but Spaniard Feliciano Lopez made sure that there would be no more Americans in the tournament moving forward.
Lopez ousted Isner, 6-7 (8), 7-6 (6), 7-6 (3), 7-5, after the American displayed very good form in the first two rounds of Wimbledon.
The loss was shocking for two reasons. For one, Isner recorded 52 aces, normally a total strong enough to defeat any competitor. He failed in tiebreaks, however. That's an area of the game he usually excels in, especially after he won a marathon tiebreak, 19-17, over Jarkko Nieminen of Finland in Round 2.
