Wimbledon 2013: Predictions for Second Week of Action

The biggest question mark heading into the second week is whether things will begin to normalize or if underdogs can continue to shock the tennis world. Either way, it should result in a terrific week of action at the All England Club.
Let's examine three players who should be able to stand out during the second week.
Jerzy Janowicz Continues To Shine
Janowicz is a star in the making. He first broke onto the major scene by reaching the third round at Wimbledon last year. The 22-year-old Polish sensation has continued to make steady progress, showcasing top-five potential along the way.
His run to the round of 16 has been impressive. After cruising past Kyle Edmund in the opening round, he was in firm control of Radek Stepanek before the veteran retired from the match. He followed it up with a straight-sets victory over No. 16 seed Nicolas Almagro.
Now, there's no reason to believe he can't make it all the way to the semifinals. Jurgen Melzer has needed four sets to win all of his matches, while Lukasz Kubot and Adrian Mannarino have benefited from breaks in the draw. Janowicz should take advantage.
Marion Bartoli's Resurgence Rolls On
Bartoli had made it past the third round of a major just once in her past seven tries heading into Wimbledon. Due to a favorable draw and improved play, the veteran is already in the round of 16, and the path remains clear for a deep run.
