Wimbledon 2012: Where to Watch the Historic Gentlemen’s Final

Roger Federer is appearing in his record-tying eighth Wimbledon final. His only loss was to Rafael Nadal in the 2008 final. A Federer win would tie him with Pete Sampras and Willie Renshaw. It would also allow Federer to reclaim the ATP’s No. 1 ranking. That would be Federer’s 286th week as the World’s No. 1 player, also tying Sampras for that record.
ESPN will begin their coverage at 8 a.m. ET with Breakfast at Wimbledon for the fourth consecutive day. ESPN’s live coverage of the men’s championship final will commence on many ESPN platforms beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
In addition to ESPN, WatchESPN and CourtCast. Wimbledon also has their own streaming coverage. The ATP has the complete list of the major carriers of Wimbledon. ABC will re-air the men’s final at 3 p.m. ET. The Tennis Channel will continue with its coverage by airing their nightly wrap-up show Wimbledon Primetime. ESPN3D will also air the final live and then re-air it at 9 p.m. ET.
Very few players hold the advantage in head-to-head meetings with Federer, but Murray is one of them. Murray has won eight of their 15 matchups. Murray won six of the first eight meetings, and Federer has rallied to win five of the last seven. This is their third meeting in a Grand Slam final. Federer won the 2008 U.S. Open and 2010 Australian Open in straight sets.
