Wimbledon 2012 Predictions: Novak Djokovic Will Win 2nd Consecutive Title

The 25-year-old is at the peak of his powers. He has won four of the last six majors and has not missed a semifinal since the 2010 French Open.
He is the world’s top-ranked player and put on an excellent performance in London in 2011. He tore through his early-round opponents then went on to win his quarterfinal, semifinal and final matches in four sets each.
His opponent in the finals was Rafael Nadal, who defeated the Serb in the finals at the 2012 French Open. Had Djokovic beat Nadal, he would have become the first player since Rod Laver in 1969 to win four straight Grand Slams.
Missing out on history will be a motivating factor for Djokovic. He already plays extremely well on the grass at Wimbledon, and the extra fire from the recent loss will make him almost impossible to beat.
Djokovic will almost certainly have to face Nadal in order to win the tournament. The two have met in the last four major finals.
While Nadal has won the last three meetings between the two players, all of these matches were on clay courts.
Prior to those three losses, Djokovic won seven meetings in a row against Nadal. The Spaniard will have to adjust to a move away from his favorite surface while Djokovic will be relieved to get a chance at Nadal on a grass.
The men’s field at majors has been predictable recently. Djokovic and Nadal will be in the final four and Roger Federer will almost certainly join them.
However, Nadal and Djokovic have looked unbeatable at Slams recently, and it is unlikely that any other player in the field will be able to beat either of these two.
Wimbledon will produce another Nadal vs. Djokovic match, but this time, it will not...
