Wimbledon 2011: From Rafael Nadal to Serena Williams, Final Road Map Is Drawn

The Wimbledon draw, which was announced Friday morning, June 17, sets the stage for the third grand slam of the year, which gets underway on Monday, June 20 at the All England Club.
The defending champions for the event are both in the field: Rafael Nadal for the men and Serena Williams for the women.
No. 3 seed Roger Federer will face off against the No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic in the semifinals if the seedings hold.
Djokovic must get by Jeremy Chardy of France while Federer will find himself across the net from Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan.
No. 1 seed Rafael Nadal, naturally, will face Brit Andy Murray in the semifinals if the seeds hold. Murray’s first-round opponent will be Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain while Rafael Nadal will face American Michael Russell in the first round
Serena and Venus Williams find themselves on the opposite side of the draw.
Will they face each other in 2011?
The sisters have a lot of work to do to get to the final, although they have managed to win nine of the last 11 Wimbledon championships.
