Berdych has had an easy draw but he hasn't come through unscathed. Troubled by a mercurial Daniel Brands, he went through in four scrappy sets and had a five-setter with Istomin prior to that. But the tall, powerful Czech has troubled Federer in the past with his stinging ground strokes and huge serve.
The Swiss Champion seems to have gone from having problems starting his engine to a comfortable fourth gear. Brushing off Clement and Melzer in straight sets, I think Berdych will push Federer to a couple of tie brea...
