The ivy-covered gates of the All England Club are once again primed and ready to host the Super Bowl of professional tennis.

There's always a different sense of importance in the air when Wimbledon is around the corner. It's not that the tournament is the most difficult to win, or that the prize money  is staggering compared with the other three Majors—the name "Wimbledon" is simply the most well-recognized name in the sport.

There remains though, a different crack on the ball in the hollow and pristine grounds of SW 19—history seems to beckon around every corner.

Dreams are created and crushed on the finely manicured lawns of the English tournament—dreams that may become a disgruntled memory as the surface loses its luster over the fortnight.

The men's event has provided three thrilling five-set finals in a row, and this year's expectations will warrant the same sort of drama.

Roger Federer maybe looking for his most important title to date (doesn't it always seem like it's the most important title prior to the beginning of an event?).

Rafael Nadal has French success in his backseat to lean on while riding a seven-match winning streak on Center Court.

Novak Djokovic arrives with little fanfare and will desperately attempt to pour in a quality result.

Andy Murray has the weight of the Union Jack on his shoulders but he holds perhaps his poorest form in recent memory.

Finally, Andy Roddick is back at The Championships hoping to capture the title that means the most to him while casting aside his heartbreaking loss of a year ago.

Yes folks, it's Wimbledon time. The favorites will always be the favorites, and the new up—and—coming stars will also be hungry to capture the most "well recognized" Slam of the year.

Let's now take a look at the top four seeds, and their respective quarters. Article Source: Bleacher Report - Tennis
