The favorites left standing are household names, with the likes of Roger Federer, Stan Wawrinka and more notables taking to the courts Monday in the hopes of punching their quarterfinal tickets. Not lost among the chaos are a couple of head-turners, such as unseeded Americans Donald Young and Victoria Lepchenko, both of whom aim to notch another big upset to keep rolling.

U.S. Open Predictions for September 7
No. 2 Simona Halep vs. No. 24 Sabine Lisicki
There's been no early exit for second-seeded Simona Halep in Queens, unlike her last two Grand Slam stops, which saw her win just one match combined at both the French Open and Wimbledon. But before she truly sends a message to Serena Williams, she'll have to navigate past a tricky Round 4 foe.
Halep is going up against 24th-seeded German Sabine Lisicki, who, despite her status as an emerging contender, has already broken through to a Wimbledon final (2013) and into the second week of three other majors. The 25-year-old has only beaten Halep once in four meetings but took her to three long sets in two of the last three meetings.
Lisicki has needed one three-set match on her way to this point, but the same can't be said for Halep, who truly dominated her last opponent, as ESPN Stats & Info showed:
