Djokovic's only Grand Slam defeat of 2015 came back in June when he was surprisingly beaten by Stan Wawrinka in the French Open final.
However, there was to be no such shock in New York. While the legendary Federer put up a valiant fight, Djokovic proved once again there is nobody better in men's tennis at the moment.

Per BBC Sport, Djokovic reached double figures in terms of Grand Slam titles with the win, and he is gradually edging closer to the Swiss at the top of the pile:
The match was delayed for over three hours after heavy rain in New York, but the spirits of the 23,000-strong crowd were not dampened.
The majority of those inside Arthur Ashe Stadium were backing the 34-year-old Federer, but Djokovic defied them with a terrific display of skill and composure.
Djokovic eased to the first set, picking up two quick breaks of serve to establish control and serving out for 6-4 in 41 minutes.
However, it was never going to be easy for the 28-year-old, and so it proved.
Federer had some success with his so-called SABR tactic (Sneak Attack By Roger) in the second set, although Djokovic dealt with the onrushing Swiss better than most have done during the tournament.
The 17-time Grand Slam champion converted his fourth set point in the second set, crushing an unreturnable cross-court backhand Djokovic's way to claim a break and a 7-5 set win.<...
