US Open Tennis 2013: Predicting Winners from Men’s and Women’s Brackets

With a strong field on both sides of the draw filled with talented players, the eventual tournament winners will have earned their spot amongst the sports’ best.
Both of the following players will win their respective bracket and walk away U.S. Open champion.
Predicted Men’s Draw Winner: Novak Djokovic
Despite a stacked field full of stars playing at a high level, the favorite to win the men’s bracket should be the world’s No. 1 men’s tennis player, Novak Djokovic.
With Rafael Nadal winning the 2013 Western & Southern Open and Andy Murray entering the U.S. Open as the tournament’s defending champion, many fans have forgotten about Djokovic and his ability to steal the show.
Djokovic won the 2013 Australian Open and reached the final at Wimbledon, losing a tough battle against Murray. While he hasn’t been playing his best tennis of late, there is no questioning how much raw talent and experience he has at Flushing Meadows.
Since he has been a finalist in the last Grand Slam of the season in each of the last three years (one victory in 2011), it is a safe bet to expect a similar result this year. The "Djoker" will win his seventh Grand Slam championship.
Predicted Women’s Draw Winner: Serena Williams
While the world’s No. 1 women’s tennis player, Serena Williams, may have lost to Victoria Azarenka in the final of the WTA Western & Southern Open, there is little doubt that the American star is playing well enough right now to win the U.S. Open.
