Time for a Sea Change for Federer and Nadal Fans; They Are the Greatest Ever

Some will call me crazy. Some will call me biased. But I don’t care; this is my opinion.
Federer is the God of tennis. The player who possesses the supreme athleticism, the perfect combination of speed, power, footwork, skill and balance.
The player who seems to glide around the court with effervescent grace, whose forehand could do anything. The player who could have picked up a racquet, wooden or graphite, in any generation and dominated.
Nadal is the player with the firepower to blow apart any opponent standing across the net.
He possesses the unique blend of speed and ball striking skills to chase down any ball and pound it back over the net harder than when it came for a winner, even in a hopeless situation.
He is the greatest clay court player to ever live, and the best at the moment.
It's a shame that their rivalry has been tarnished by the ungrateful remarks made by their Internet armies.
Every article about Federer, or his greatness, is tarnished by rabid Nadal fans who constantly bring up H2H records.
Any article about Nadal considerably is responded by equally rabid Federer fans (see Vijaylakshmi Shetty’s articles), but any article that talks about GOAT has those fans lining up for an Internet war, armed with statistics and a pile of choice quotes.
I’m proposing a change, that we stop the name calling, the vehement attacks on these players.
I’m proposing that we stop comparing and contrasting for now.
Federer and Nadal would want it.
They are the two greatest players of all time, a fact that I know those rabid fans would agree with me on.
They have done more for the sport than any other player has ever done, and more than they could have done by themselves, due to their immense, though lopsided rivalry.
