Swiss Indoors Basel 2015: Friday Tennis Scores, Results, Updated Draw Schedule

Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal both dug deep to progress into the semi-finals of the Swiss Indoors on Friday on a thrilling day of tennis in Basel, Switzerland.
The home-crowd favourite and top seed needed three sets to get the better of a game David Goffin, setting up a clash with Jack Sock in the last four. Nadal responded from being a set down to eventually overcome Marin Cilic, booking a semi-final clash with Richard Gasquet.

Federer, Nadal Battle Through
Philipp Kohlschreiber pushed Federer hard in his match on Thursday, and Goffin, perhaps buoyed by the German's display, sought to do the same when he met the illustrious Swiss in the quarter-finals.
This one seemed set to be a routine Federer win as the reigning champion coasted through the first set. But Goffin was magnificent in the second, getting a foothold on his opponent's service game and forcing a deciding stanza. As relayed by Live Tennis, the usually unflappable veteran was getting frustrated in this one:
However, the top seed seemed to channel his anger into his play in the third set, racing to an early break. From that point on, the momentum was with Federer, and he eventually secured a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win.
Federer will face Sock in the final four, as the burgeoning American recovered tremendously from a set down to get the better of compatriot Donald Young.
Young was on a high coming into this one after dispatching of Kevin Anderson on Thursday, and it was evident in the manner in which he secured the first set. But Sock showed why many expect him to go on to achieve big things, exerting his class in the second and especially the third stanzas, taking a 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 win.
