Sloane Stephens Bitter and Bratty as She Bashes Serena Williams in Magazine

According to SI.com's Beyond The Baseline blog, Stephens goes off on Serena Williams in the May 13 issue of ESPN The Magazine.
She claims their relationship has deteriorated since she beat Williams in the Australian Open. At the same time, she declares they were never really that close.
Stephens reportedly told ESPN that “For the first 16 years of my life, she said one word to me and was never involved in my tennis whatsoever...I really don’t think it’s that big of a deal that she’s not involved now."
Meanwhile her struggles on the court continue. Yesterday she lost in the opening round of the Madrid Open, 3-6, 5-7, to Daniela Hantuchova.
Opening-round losses are becoming routine for Stephens. She has lost in her opener in three of the last four tournaments she's played in. She was benched during Fed Cup after she lost the opening match.
So to fuel her funk, Stephens decides to spray venom on the No. 1 player in the world.

It's time for Stephens to grow up.
She acts like Williams, who is an opponent competing against her, is supposed to hold her hand and tuck her in.
This tantrum unleashed on the pages of a magazine is the latest in a series of bratty moves.
Stephens has given flippant responses to her poor play. “I’m 16 in the world. I can lose in the first round the next two months and I probably would still be top 30," she said after losing at the Sony Open.
She claims that a tweet Williams posted, saying "I made you," was meant for her. Maybe it was. But Serena has more than 3 million followers.
