Once again, Serena Williams leaves tennis fans scratching their heads.

As the No. 5 player in the world, Williams was expected to do decently well at the French Open. Being who she is, people expected her to do exceptionally well.

Unfortunately, Williams added another smudge to her resume.

Williams always left people thinking she could have been more. She had great talent and coaching, but she never seemed to want it. In January, she described tennis like it was a regrettable relationship she couldn't get out of (via ESPN).

Williams never wanted it like her father wanted her to have it. She never wanted to beat anyone but Venus. She never wanted to be legendary like we wanted.

Why didn't she? If she wanted it, could Williams be the greatest of all time? She had the talent and we were confused as to why she didn't have the desire.

For her entire career, even when she was winning consistently, Williams was letting people down. At this point, she will be remembered as on...
