Serena Williams Earns 700th Career Win at 2015 Miami Masters vs. Sabine Lisicki

Sports Illustrated tweeted that Williams won her quarterfinal match at the Miami Open over Sabine Lisicki, 7-6, 1-6, 6-3.

It was yet another accomplishment in one of the best careers in the history of the sport. Williams has 19 Grand Slam titles and 65 career WTA single's titles and is currently ranked No. 1 in the world. In fact, she hasn't lost a single match in the 2015 calendar year and shows no signs of slowing down in the near future.
Win No. 700 certainly wasn’t easy for Williams, considering the match took more than two hours to complete. Williams was challenged right out of the gate and needed a tiebreaker to clinch the first set against Lisicki.
It’s a good thing for Williams she won that tiebreaker, because Lisicki easily won the second set 6-1 before Williams finally turned it on at the end and controlled the third and decisive set.
Williams ended up with four aces to Lisicki’s one and only won 60 percent of her first-service points. It wasn’t a great serving day for Williams, but she did convert five break points in eight chances, which proved to be the ultimate difference in the match.
Next up for Williams is a semifinal showdown with either Simona Halep or Sloane Stephens.
