Serena Williams beat Maria Sharapova 6-4 6-3 to win a third WTA Championships title in Istanbul #Tennis

She capped a tournament that saw her defeat Li Na, Victoria Azarenka and Agnieszka Radwanska prior to the straight-sets victory over Sharapova. She defeated every opponent in straight sets.
It was another dominating performance from one of the greatest tennis players the game has ever seen. Her power blew away the competition, and Sharapova had no answers for it on Sunday.
Sharapova struggled with Williams' serve, finding it difficult to return when Williams was successful on her first serve. Williams aced Sharapova six times in the first set, including a set-point ace that gave her the opener 6-4.
From the beginning, Williams set the tone with her aggression and power and never looked back. She has dominated Sharapova in the past (10-2), so starting strong while setting the tone early was certainly a focal point heading into the final.
She executed her game plan to perfection.
The victory capped Williams' fantastic 2012 campaign, during which she won seven titles, including two Grand Slams (U.S. Open and Wimbledon) and the gold medal at the Olympics.
