Serena Williams Answers Reporter’s Dumb Questions with Devastating Honesty

If you're a tennis fan, you probably know that beating Venus is the only victory Serena doesn't really enjoy. She takes no pleasure in sending her older sister packing, but their showdowns are part of the business, and she plays them out like a professional.
With that said, most of the tennis reporters at Serena's post-match press conference on Wednesday night probably weren't surprised to see the 21-time Grand Slam winner in a somber mood after her latest sister duel.
Williams sat down and went through the motions, answering questions glumly. It was standard fare for a post-Venus presser, until one reporter chimed in with the exact wrong line of inquiry.
Facebook user Aaron Squintz Davis posted video of the incident.
You can't hear every word, but the reporter's questions amounted to "Why are you not laughing and smiling? You should be. Is it because you beat Venus? Or something else?"
These are the kinds of questions that drive athletes insane—ones that answer themselves and have no material value.
But he asked, so Serena answered bluntly:
"It's 11:30. To be perfectly honest with you, I don't want to be here. I just want to be in bed right now, and I have to wake up early to practice. And I don't want to answer any of these questions, and you guys keep asking me the same questions. So it's, uh...it's not really...you're not making it super enjoyable...just being honest."
So that's how that went.
Now, a normal person would've called it quits after a response like that.
In fact, most people would've left the conference, drove into the Canadian wilderness and started a new life with a family of bears who don't understand English and didn't hear about Serena Williams tomahawk dunking that dumb question they asked back down their throat. Because...
