Roland Garros 2013: Superstars Who Will Storm Through Round 2

With most of Round 1 at the 2013 Roland Garros complete, let's jump ahead to some second-round matchups featuring a few superstars.
After trouncing the inferior competition to start the French Open, it's vital to sustain dominance throughout the early rounds. Even though the opponents are expected to fare better as the event progresses, a top contender must prove impervious to a potential upset.
In short, winning in convincing fashion as opposed to just squeaking by. And that is exactly what gets put on display from the following elites when Round 2 commences.

Rafael Nadal (vs. Martin Klizan)
Rafael Nadal received a brief scare from Germany's Daniel Brands to begin his French Open. Nevertheless, the Spaniard prevailed once he got comfortable toward the end of the second set.
After a slow start, he cruised through the third and fourth sets en route to a 3-1 victory. Facing Martin Klizan of Slovakia in Round 2, Nadal is building momentum right on cue.
Klizan advanced over USA's Michael Russell; however, it was because Russell withdrew due to injury, per ESPN.com. Kilzan was winning two sets to one, but obviously anything could have transpired had Russell remained healthy.
That said, Klizan doesn't have any impressive wins this season and Nadal is the seven-time Roland Garros champion. And he remains the King of Clay until knocked off.
Serena Williams (vs. Caroline Garcia)
Serena Williams is clearly on a mission to win another French Open title. She hasn't taken the Roland Garros clay since 2002, and has struggled in getting past the quarterfinals since 2003.
