Roger Federer Will Win 18th Major Despite Poor Showing in 2015 Australian Open

One of tennis' all-time greats, the 33-year-old Swiss has dominated the circuit for the better part of 11 years, winning each Grand Slam event at least once while accumulating 83 career titles.
But Federer hasn't won a major since 2012 at Wimbledon, and based on his poor showing at the 2015 Australian Open, his doubters are out in full force.
Well, there's reason to believe he isn't done just yet.
While Federer's Round 3 performance in Melbourne against Andreas Seppi was less than stellar, there were still plenty of positive takeaways. The No. 2 seed's serve was absolutely devastating when it found its mark. Federer may have only hit 59 percent of his first serves in play and racked up nine double faults, but he also tallied 15 aces and won an impressive 80 percent of his first-serve points.
The biggest cause for the loss was due to an abundance of unforced errors. Federer was admittedly off his game against Seppi, totaling 55 such errors throughout the course of the match. In fact, the Swiss claimed his rhythm was off in practice during a pre-match press conference, via AusOpen.com:
I don't know, maybe rhythm was missing. But I feel like that very often and then, you know, I come out and play a good match. Sometimes you feel too good and then you play a horrible match. I mean, the practice to me doesn't mean a thing anyways. But I was aware that this could be a tough match, so I wasn't mistaken this time around.
