Roger Federer vs. Stan Wawrinka: Score and Reaction from 2015 US Open

According to ESPN Tennis on Twitter, Federer is now 238-2 in his career when winning the first two sets at majors and hasn't dropped a set since the tournament started. Also per ESPN Tennis, this is the fourth Grand Slam final Federer has reached without dropping a set and the first time he's achieved the feat at the U.S. Open.
The win also pushed Federer to 17-3 in head-to-head matchups with Wawrinka, including a 12-0 record on hard courts.
Thanks to a lethal serve that's allowed Federer to avoid break points almost entirely, the 17-time Grand Slam champion kept Wawrinka rushing around for responses that proved to be elusive. Federer crushed Wawrinka by winning 80 percent of his first-serve points while peppering him with 22 points at the net.
Fittingly, Federer punctuated the effort with an ace, which U.S. Open Tennis relayed on Twitter:
"It's definitely very good, maybe my best," Federer said of his play at the U.S. Open, according to the tournament's official Twitter account.
Federer drew first blood by breaking Wawrinka on his second service game of the entire match, and the world's second-ranked player didn't let up as the first set wore on.
Despite facing triple break point midway through the set, Federer stood tall and battled back to force deuce and ultimately win the frame's decisive game.
And while the loser of the first set had won three of the previous five matches between Federer and Wawrinka, that wasn't the case Friday night.
