Roger Federer vs. Adrian Mannarino: Score and Recap from 2013 US Open

Federer started things out on Saturday by winning the first set, 6-3.
The 32-year-old Swiss won a back-and-forth first game. After Mannarino won the second game with four straight points, Federer won the next three games. Mannarino won the sixth game, then both players exchanged games before Federer ultimately captured the set, 6-3.
The first set lasted 29 minutes. In the set, Federer captured 89 percent of first-serve points and 80 percent of net points while posting 18 winners and five aces.
Mannarino committed only two unforced errors in the first set, but he also notched just four winners.

The second set was a 22-minute clinic. Federer didn't allow Mannarino to win a game as he captured the set, 6-0.
Federer had six winners and one ace in the set while committing just three unforced errors. He won 90 percent of first-serve points, 60 percent of second-serve points and 65 percent of return points. He had 27 points to Mannarino's 11.
The five-time U.S. Open champ was on a roll.
Federer's domination continued in the third set. After he lost the first game of the set, he won six of the next seven games to capture the third and final set, 6-2.
The match lasted just 78 minutes. Federer captured 92 percent of first-serve points and 79 percent of net points while posting 33 winners and seven aces.
The 17-time Grand Slam singles champion looked dangerous on Saturday, regardless of the fact that Mannarino was unseeded. After a rough year by his standards, Federer may be getting into a groove after he showed a spark against Rafael Nadal at the Western & Southern Open.
