Record-Breaker Nicolas Mahut Wins in Just 83 Minutes on Return to Action

Mahut beat Falla in the second round of the Hall of Fame Championships in Rhode Island.
Mahut was beaten 70-68 in the last set by Isner at Wimbledon earlier this month. Falla isn't too bad either, as he took Federer to five sets in the same tournament.
In contrast to the 11 hours and five minutes he spent on court at Wimbledon in the famous match, he managed to go through in just 83 minutes .
This is a morale-boosting victory for Mahut after the heartbreak he suffered after losing the longest tennis match ever.
"This is just amazing what happened here for me," said Mahut.
"Just people coming every two minutes, come to me and congratulate me. It's an unbelievable feeling.
"I'm so grateful to everyone, really… I take the energy from the people, and that's why I won today.
"I was thinking that people would say 'Bad luck, you lost this match,' but no, people are coming to me and saying, 'I've never seen something like this before. It's just amazing. You both deserve to win.' It's a great feeling."
The US is in the middle of a heatwave, with Mahut and Falla having to endure 97 degree heat on court. Even the temperature was no match to his last match.
"Nothing is worse than what I did in Wimbledon," he admitted.
"Every match that I play now will be easier than what I did. I cannot complain anymore."
