A seventh singles title in Paris would further prove why Nadal is easily the best clay court star of this generation. His dominance at the French Open has just been phenomenal.
He still hasn't dropped a set at this year's tournament in Paris, and easily defeated fellow Spaniard David Ferrer in straight sets in the semifinals on Thursday.
We often use the word "dominant" too loosely in sports, but when describing Nadal's success at Roland Garros in his career, it's the perfect word.
Rafael Nadal is now 50-1 career at the French Open, and is seeking a record 7th career French Open title.

Nadal is the only player to ever win five French Open singles titles in a row, and can become the only player to ever win seven of them in the Open era with a victory on Sunday.
Even though Djokovic has won three straight Grand Slam singles titles, all of which came against Nadal, it would be hard to imagine the Spaniard losing in this final.
With a special place in history at stake, there's no way that Nadal fails to win the French Open for the seventh time, and establishes himself as the greatest player in the tournament's history.
