Rafael Nadal Rocking $775K Watch While Playing at the French Open

The Spanish tennis pro needs everything just so, from his pre-serve approach to his water bottle's general alignment with the heavenly spheres. If it can be tweaked or altered on the tennis court, chances are Nadal will try to do so.
With this in mind, it's strange to hear Nadal is committed to wearing a bulky, $775,000 watch at the 2015 French Open.
The Wall Street Journal's Tom Perrotta reports that Nadal will play with a custom-made timepiece crafted by Richard Mille—a Swiss watchmaker with a penchant for minimalist aesthetics and maximum durability.
The accessory should bother Nadal, who favors a two-handed backhand. It sits on his right wrist, large and square and potentially intrusive when he cocks back for a return.
Nonetheless, he says he's adjusted to the watch, per Perrotta:
In the beginning there was a little bit of transition. [Richard-Mille and I] had to work together to adjust everything to my wrist...It's like you are wearing nothing. It's part of my skin.
And there you have it: A few adjustments and a metal box can be one with your epidermis.
Personally, I understand Nadal's choice. I'd wear a dog cone to work if a company handed me $750,000. I imagine over half a million dollars can make wrist chafing go away real fast.
