Novak Djokovic’s Hot Start Will Propel Him into Final at 2014 French Open

Through the first four rounds at Roland Garros, Djokovic has dropped just one set, which came against Marin Cilic, who has improved quite considerably with 30 match wins so far this season. In his most recent match, Djokovic made quick work of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, dropping him in straight sets by a score of 6-1, 6-4, 6-1.
With such a dominant performance, Djokovic was quite happy with how he played against Tsonga, according to BBC.com, saying:
With the support Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has on home soil, I needed to start with a high intensity, good movements and try to get as close to baseline as possible. I prepared well with my team and executed very well. The scoreline was perfect for me and I'm very happy with that performance.
It's quite clear that Djokovic is on top of his game right now, and it's hard to see him falling before reaching the finals.
That being said, Djokovic hasn't had a ton of success at Roland Garros over the years. He's made it to the semifinals each of the last three years, but he's only been to the finals once, back in 2012 when he lost to Rafael Nadal. Djokovic may have six career Grand Slam titles, but right now he's likely more focused on winning his first at the French Open more than winning his seventh Grand Slam.
With so many upsets this year, Djokovic's half of the field looks wide open. The other remaining players on his side of the bracket are Tomas Berdych, Ernests Gulbis and Milos Raonic. Nadal's side looks much more difficult, as he'll be going against names like David Ferrer, Gael Monfils and Andy Murray.
