Novak Djokovic vs. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga: Score, Reaction from 2016 Indian Wells

Djokovic entered Friday having lost just one match on the ATP World Tour. BBC broadcaster Jeff Tarango (via BBC Tennis) argued his level of dominance in the men's game warrants its own designation in the dictionary:
Tsonga gave Djokovic everything he could handle in the first set. The 30-year-old Frenchman was excellent on serve, winning 75 percent of his first-service points and saving four of Djokovic's five break-point opportunities. As TennisTV showed, he was also capable of launching some devastating groundstrokes from the baseline:
Yet, the fact that Tsonga lost the set demonstrated the futility of facing off against Djokovic at times. Almost everything can go right, even for a player as talented as Tsonga, and it still isn't enough to make anything more than a dent against the 28-year-old Serbian star.
This wasn't one of the most dominant performances of Djokovic's career; he was merely metronomic in his consistency. He had 11 winners and 14 unforced errors in the first set, compared to 10 and 24, respectively, for Tsonga.
Perhaps the tennis gods looked favorably upon Djokovic after he admitted one of Tsonga's shots hit him in the first set, which was missed by the chair umpire, via the tournament's official Twitter account:
The second set played out almost exactly as the first had. Neither player hardly budged an inch on serve, with each surrendering a service break. A tiebreaker was the only way to separate the two.
