Notable Day 3 Predictions Leonardo Mayer vs. Jiri Vesely
Seeded at No. 24 in the French Open rankings, Leonardo Mayer is far from the most prestigious name contending in the men's singles Tuesday, but that's part of what makes his meeting with Jiri Vesely so enticing.
The Argentine lost to Dominic Thiem in the final of last week's Open de Nice Cote d'Azur, and there's no guarantee this week's 21-year-old foe will be much of a step down in terms of quality.
At 6'6", Vesely even dwarfs the not-so insignificant frame of Mayer and will be hoping to take control of service matters from the beginning, one facet of the game in which he tends to excel.
