Djokovic, who will complete his career Grand Slam with a victory, finally beat Nadal at Roland Garros during the quarterfinals. His path didn't clear up after the earlier than usual clash, as he then needed five sets dispersed through two days to fend off Andy Murray.
The world's top-ranked star is no stranger to his opponent, as the duo have engaged in classics over the last two years. Wawrinka let Djokovic dispatch Nadal and Federer, but he ousted Roger Federer, the only player besides Nadal to win the French Open over the last decade.
Either Djokovic or Wawrinka will capture his first trophy at Roland Garros. If it's anything like their past Australian Open encounters, everyone better get comfortable for a long, gruelling thriller.

Djokovic has dominated their overall matchups, going 17-3 against Wawrinka. Although they have never squared off at Roland Garros, the Serbian star hasn't lost to Wawrinka on clay since their first battle in 2006, which ended with him retiring due to breathing problems.
Yet the rivalry has gained zest with three five-set marathons at Melbourne. In 2013, Djokovic outlasted Wawrinka during a match that spanned over five hours. Wawrinka returned the favor the following year, rallying from behind to win the quarterfinal showdown.
