French Open 2012: Predicting How Top Players Will Finish at Roland Garros

It’s quite unlikely that anything is going to change and it is highly probable that Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray are going to be the ones who decide who wins at Roland Garros.
Let’s take a look at how the tournament will most likely shake out.
Winner: Nadal
The King of Clay will retain his title at the French Open. He’s simply unstoppable on the surface. The best competitors in the world struggle against his game that seems tailor-made for the slower courts.
He will likely go through the Scottish Andy Murray in the semifinals to reach the championship and easily cruise through to victory.
Runner Up: Djokovic
The No. 1 player in the world is going to end up meeting his nemesis in the finals and will go through Federer in the semifinal to get there.
He lost in the Internazionali BNL d'Italia and the Monte Carlo finals to Nadal, and it does not appear that Djokovic is going to break that streak.
Nadal is a lifetime 12-2 in head-to-head clay matchups with the Serb and has his number. This will be an epic battle, but Rafa will win.
Semifinalists: Murray and Federer
These two studs are cruising into the semis, but they will hit a wall when they get there. Djokovic is just a better player at this point in his career than Federer—who is clearly aging—while Murray doesn’t stand a chance against Rafa on the clay.
