French Open 2012 Draw: Rafael Nadal vs. Novak Djokovic Final Is Inevitable

Tennis' two biggest names battled it out for the Italian Open crown mere days ago, and there's no reason to think the field at Roland Garros can stop a rematch from occurring.
Roger Federer is a name that some would say has the best chance of playing spoiler to this potential final match, and I would have to agree agree. That being said, even though Federer has the best chance and is the obvious choice to upset one of the two, there's little reason to believe he will.
The veteran even told Danielle Rossingh of Business Week, that he doesn't see himself as the favorite to win the tournament, saying:
“It would be Rafa, Novak, and me in third position."
Nadal is playing on the clay surface that helped make him a household name with tennis fans during the early part of his career. He'll be attempting to capture an astounding seventh French Open Championship.
Djokovic also has history to play for in this tournament; he will be attempting to become the first man to ever hold all four Grand Slam Titles at the same time since Rod Laver accomplished the feat back in the 1960s.
"This is an opportunity very few players have in their lives. I'm aware of that. But I accept it as a challenge," the world's No. 1 ranked player told Fox Sports' Richard Evans.
Even with the top ranking on the planet, people such as Federer see Nadal as the unquestioned favorite heading into the tournament due to his recent success.
In the same interview with Rossingh, the accomplished Swiss player said "Rafael playing for his seventh title is the favorite. I think he lost only two sets between Rome, Monte Carlo, and Barcelona, so that’s a pretty good start.”
