Federer and Nadal Advance in Qatar; Soderling Upset in India

World No. 1 Roger Federer and World No. 2 Rafael Nadal both scored easy first round wins in Qatar on Tuesday.
Nadal was picture perfect in dismissing talented Italian Simone Bolelli 6-3, 6-3, recording his first official match victory of the season.
Suffering four consecutive losses at the end of last year, Nadal regained his form in the Davis Cup final—winning both of his singles matches.
Nadal began 2010 by winning the Abu Dhabi exhibition event, and will now head to the second round in Doha to face another Italian, Potito Starace.
“[I] got good practice in Abu Dhabi, and that gave me good rhythm for this match,” said Nadal.
Starace began his season is splendid fashion, defeating Frederico Gil 6-2, 6-0.
Following Nadal's lead into the round of 16, Federer needed a mere 57 minutes to dispose of Christophe Rochus 6-1, 6-2.
Winning the first set in 18 minutes, Federer's forehand and weight of shot were simply too much for the diminutive Belgian to handle.
Saving three break points throughout the straight set win, Federer added 12 aces in advancing.
The 15-time Major winner will now face Evgeny Korolev in round two.
Korolev defeated Martin Vassallo Arguello 6-2, 6-3.
Federer owns a comfortable 2-0 career head-t0-head lead over Korolev.
Elsewhere, to the delight of the supportive crowd, 38-year-old Younes El Aynaoui recorded a 7-6(3), 7-6(4) win over American Ryler DeHeart.
El Aynaoui, who is competing in his last professional event on Tour, was sidelined for the past two seasons due to various injuries.
The Moroccan utilized his renowned serve to strike 16 aces and win 86 percent of his first serve points.
