No. 1 Novak Djokovic vs. Aljaz Bedene
One of the greatest tennis players of the last five years is Novak Djokovic, and he looks to be ready for another elite season. Despite losing in the quarterfinals of the Qatar Open, Djokovic looks poised for a deep run in the Australian Open.
As a four-time Australian Open champion, Djokovic enters Melbourne as a tournament favorite.
While the first-round matchup against Djokovic will be a huge moment for 25-year-old Aljaz Bedene, this game is perfect for the No. 1 seed to find his rhythm and work out any bugs he finds in his game.
When asked about the illness that affected him coming into the Australian Open, Djokovic told The Associated Press (via ESPN.com): “I had a tough couple of days. But it's all behind me now. I'm ready for the Open. [It was] a little bit of flu and stomach, but now it's good, it's passed.”
