Men's
Novak Djokovic vs. Ryan Harrison
The world's No. 1 is feeling the pressure.
After winning just one Grand Slam in 2012 his seat atop the tennis world isn't as secure as it was 10 months ago, and it will be interesting to see how he responds.
The Djoker didn't have any problems in the first round, winning in straight sets. And while Harrison isn't exactly a title threat, we should see how Djokovic looks in this match and be able to gauge how well he is playing.
David Ferrer vs. Tim Smyczek
As the No. 4 player in the field, Ferrer has to be happy to see Rafael Nadal out of the Australian Open.
Obviously no player wants to see another get hurt, but now Ferrer has a legitimate shot at winning the Australian Open.
In the second round we will also be able to see if Ferrer is playing up to par in this first Grand Slam of the year.
Women's
Venus Williams vs. Alize Cornet
It's not Serena, but the Williams sisters are always worth watching.
Venus takes on Cornet in the second round, and she will be looking to build on her 6-1, 6-0 straight-set victory in the first round, and prove that she is still relevant among tennis' brightest stars.
