Site of the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing, the China Open will boast two spectacular fields during the week-long dual-gender event.
With seven top 10 players participating in each draw, the China Open's prize money—which is the highest payout for any 500 series event on the ATP World Tour—will feature the likes of Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Robin Soderling, while the women's event will attract Caroline Wozniacki, Vera Zvonareva, and Jelena Jankovic.
The Beijing Olympic Tennis Center, which hosts 10 hard-courts and an ultra modern air purifying system throughout its three lotus-inspired shaped Stadiums, will feature a 32-man ATP field, and a 56-woman WTA draw.
While Djokovic continues his march toward solidifying the No. 2 position for the season, Wozniacki remains two wins away from capturing the No. 1 ranking in the world.
With a lot on the line for the top seeds in each event, let's now take a look at a preview of each draw.

With 2,760 points to defend before the end of the year, defending champ Djokovic could find himself out of the top five in the world with a drop in form.
Aiding his Davis Cup team into their first ever final, Djokovic will begin his quest for his second title of the season against Mao-Xin Gong, before facing either Mardy Fish or Janko Tipsarevic in the second-round.
Both Fish and Tipsarevic pulled in epic Davis Cup results in their respective ties, while improving on their rankings throughout the year.
Fish encountered a heartbreaking loss to Djokovic at the US Open, and Tipsarevic has yet to defeat his countryman in two previous tries.
