Andy Murray vs. Liam Broady: Score and Reaction from 2016 Wimbledon

The 2013 champion is aiming for a second SW19 title in 2016 and will face Taiwan's Lu Yen-hsun in the second round after seeing off the challenge of Broady in just over 100 minutes.
Playing second on Centre Court at Wimbledon on Tuesday, Murray said before the encounter that his compatriot, Broady, had "an opportunity" to compete on "one of the biggest courts in the world with a huge audience and try to cause an upset," per BBC Sport.
But, in truth, the world No. 235 had little cause for optimism during the encounter, as Murray executed his serve particularly well and broke early in each set.
The pair was greeted warmly by the Centre Court crowd, per Wimbledon:
A brutally efficient opening service game from Murray set the tone—wrapped up with the most delicate of drop shots.
The Scot then broke Broady at the first time of asking and moved 3-0 ahead with another service hold to love.
Broady, 22, finally got on the board in the fourth game of the match, but after another simple hold from Murray, the Olympic gold medalist was two games from the opener in no time, per bwin:
At 5-2 ahead, Murray set up two set points with a crushing backhand return into the corner, and he took the first of them to seal the opener.

The second set followed a similar pattern. Murray held impeccably early on and broke again for a 3-1 lead.
