Andy Murray Fires Coach Dani Vallverdu and Fitness Trainer Jez Green

"We sat down at the end of the season and decided that a change would be best for all of us," Murray's statement read. "My off season training and Australian Open preparations have already begun and I am very excited for the new year. I thank Jez and Dani for all their hard work over the years and wish them the best for the future.”
Amelie Mauresmo, who took over for Ivan Lendl as Murray's head coach earlier this year, will continue in her capacity. Mauresmo is Murray's third primary coach since he and Miles Maclagan parted ways in 2010, joining Alex Corretja and Lendl.
Vallverdu, a longtime friend going back to their youth, has been an official part of Murray's team since 2010. He's served various capacities over the last four years, most notably as Murray's travel coach in recent seasons.
The pair were together for each of Murray's two Grand Slam victories, including his 2013 Wimbledon championship. A falling out began after Murray's disappointing quarterfinals loss in his title defense, with Mike Dickson of the Daily Mail reporting Vallverdu was considering moving on.
Green has been in charge of Murray's fitness for the last seven years. It is unknown at this time whom Murray will hire to replace either man.
The Scot earned three calendar-year titles in 2014, all coming under Mauresmo's guidance. It will be interesting to see if the former top-ranked woman will have an increased sway over whom Murray hires as a replacement.
