England are in control at the top of the standings after the first round of matches, defeating Scotland 15-9 to win the Calcutta Cup at Murrayfield on Saturday.
France were also victorious on Saturday in their close battle with Italy at the Stade de France, overcoming their continental rivals 23-21.

Sunday Recap Two heavyweight sides battled it out in Dublin on Sunday afternoon, but the powers of Ireland and Wales could not be split on the scoreboard.
Ireland took control of the game in the opening half of rugby, racing to a 13-0 lead as they flexed their championship muscle.
An early penalty gave the hosts a quick advantage in the opening minutes as the official punished Wales, and Johnny Sexton made no mistake from the resulting kick.
Wales put their foot down on the gas, as they desired to strike back with vengeance, but Ireland always looked dangerous on the counter.
The Irish earned a penalty as they invaded Wales' try line, and Sexton needed no additional invitation to make it 6-0.
Ireland remained in control of territory despite the Welsh team's best efforts and were soon over the try line after a Conor Murray drive.

A Rhys Priestland penalty narrowed the gap for Wales before half-time, and the score clearly motivated the visitors to push forward before the break.
