Rugby World Cup 2011: Samoa V. Wales and England V. Georgia Game Recap

Wales just got all the right bounces in their 17-10 win over Pool D wild card Samoa.
Samoa's defenders seemed to bounce off the Welsh runners. What seemed to be a missed penalty kick bounced off the goal post and over for three points. On one occasion a mishandled pass, that looked to be a Welsh turnover, bounced just right, into the hands of Shane Williams, for Wales' only try, and the game sealer.
After Samoa hammered in a try at the end of the first half for a 10-3 lead, they seemed posed to come out strong in the second half and pull further away from Wales.
But with each mishandle, each penalty, each little mistake, Samoa became more and more disheartened and in the end Wales caught all the breaks.
For Wales, the win puts them in great position to advance to the quarterfinals, unless they get upset by Fiji in the final game of play for Pool D.
As for Samoa, they will need to pull off a big win against South Africa on September 30 if they have any hope of advancing.
England vs. Georgia
If Georgia was any team other than Georgia, England would have received a brutal tail whipping in this game.
At half time, with England leading 17-10, it was Georgia who were dominating the game in both possession and territory.
Georgia's main problem throughout the game was their inability to score. Georgia downed only one try and missed five penalty goals.
Though England won the game 41-10, it was a very disappointing effort for the 2007 World Cup runner up, a team of full time professionals, against a team of mostly amateurs.
England allowed an inferior team to hang around and challenge them, if not on the score board, in the physicality and energy of the match.
