Both teams have won the competition before, Bath taking the trophy in 2008 against Worcester and Saints winning the following year, beating Bourgoin in the final.
It is the first English appearance in the Challenge Cup final since Harlequins won the competition in 2011 and it should be a fierce contest between two of the Premiership's leading sides.

All-English Affair Tough to Call
The last time these two sides met they played out a 19-19 draw at the beginning of this month in the Premiership at the Rec, per BBC Sport.
The reverse fixture back in March was a high-scoring encounter in which Northampton prevailed 43-25.
For Saints, this is their first of two finals in eight days as they take on Saracens in the Premiership final on May 31.
Bath just missed out on the fourth play-off place in the Premiership after a final-day loss to Harlequins, who claimed the last spot on number of wins with both teams finishing on 67 points, per the Daily Mirror's Alex Spink:
Thus Bath may be the hungrier of the two teams on Friday as this match represents their last chance of silverware this season.
Bath coach Mike Ford acknowledged this fact in his pre-match comments, saying his team would leave everything out on the field, per Harry Abbott in The Bath Chronicle:
