USMNT Watch: Jordan Morris Enjoying Fine Spell of Form at Stanford

One player who fits the latter criteria is heating up at the perfect time as the Yanks look for a boost as a whole at the start of World Cup qualifying. More specifically, Jurgen Klinsmann needs consistency out of his forwards. With so many questions lingering about the strikers in the USMNT talent pool, it might be time to turn to a college phenom once again.

Jordan Morris in Impressive Form for Stanford
Jordan Morris, who is most known for his goal against Mexico in the most recent Dos A Cero victory in April at the Alamodome, has put together a nice scoring streak for Stanford over the last month.
Morris' current run of form began on October 16 with a game-winning goal in the second half against UCLA. At that point in the season, Morris only had five strikes to his name.
Since returning to the lineup against UCLA, Morris has found the back of the net in four of his last five matches. Morris has scored twice against San Diego State, once versus UCLA and once against Oregon State.
On Monday, Morris scored on his 21st birthday against San Diego State thanks to a beautiful first touch that allowed him to control the ball on the left side of the box:
Morris' recent scoring run, combined with the ineffectiveness of Jozy Altidore and Aron Johannsson's injury, may open the door for the Stanford man to earn playing time against St. Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago in the upcoming November qualifying matches.
