USMNT Watch: Johnson, Brooks Score on Exciting Saturday in Bundesliga

Fabian Johnson and John Brooks scored for Borussia Monchengladbach and Hertha Berlin respectively on the way to three points each on a historic day for the pair.

Johnson, Brooks Find the Back of the Net in Germany
Johnson was a part of one of the biggest results in Europe on Saturday as he helped Borussia Monchengladbach hand Bayern Munich their first defeat of the league campaign.
The left winger played a key role in the buildup to the first goal, as his pass from his flank set up a nice exchange between Raffael and Oscar Wendt before Wendt struck the back of the net.
In the 68th minute, Johnson put his name on the scoresheet as he took advantage of space on the right side of the pitch and slotted Gladbach's third past Manuel Neuer. With the strike, Johnson became the fourth American to record a goal against Bayern Munich, per ESPN's Paul Carr:
Brooks went head-to-head with Mexico international Javier Hernandez in Hertha Berlin's home clash with Bayer Leverkusen. After Hernandez leveled the match at one goal apiece, Brooks delivered the game-winner on a header in the 61st minute.
Johnson and Brooks became the third pair of Americans to score in the Bundesliga on the same day. Johnson previously did it alongside Danny Williams and Timmy Chandler, per ESPN's Paul Carr:
