USMNT Watch: Bedoya Transfers to MLS, Rimando Breaks MLS Wins Record

Midfielder Alejandro Bedoya became the latest big name to come home, while Nick Rimando achieved a milestone in net for Real Salt Lake.
Elsewhere across the globe, a few players started their respective seasons in Europe, and some young players continued their roads to recovery.

Alejandro Bedoya Leaves Nantes for MLS
The Philadelphia Union made the biggest splash of the MLS transfer window as they acquired Bedoya from Ligue 1 side Nantes.
The 29-year-old New Jersey native joins Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, Tim Howard and a few others in the growing group of Americans who have come home after successful spells in Europe.
Bedoya started his professional career in Sweden with Orebro, and he also spent time at Rangers and Helsingborgs before moving to Nantes.
Unlike some of the other stars who have moved back home, Bedoya has never played a minute in MLS. He joined Orebro after playing at Boston College.
Bedoya should play centrally for the Union in either a No. 8 or No. 10 role. He won't play there at the international level due to his work rate on the wing, but playing inside shouldn't affect his national team stock much.
In addition to bringing in Bedoya, the Union also traded for American forward Charlie Davies at the end of the transfer window.
Nick Rimando Breaks MLS Wins Record
Rimando set a new mark in the MLS record book in Real Salt Lake's 3-1 win over the Chicago Fire on Saturday. The victory was the 181st of Rimando's MLS career.
