Heading into the second day of Group B play, the four teams sat deadlocked at one point apiece, as both of the first two matches finished in ties.
From the outset of the tournament, Germany had to be considered the favorite to emerge as the top-seeded team from the group. The team has traditionally been an international powerhouse, winning six of the last seven editions of the European championship.
In addition, the Norwegian side has historically been very strong and has advanced to the final three times since 1991.
But Norway looked rather mortal during its first match of the tournament. The team was forced to settle for a draw after conceding a late penalty to Iceland on Thursday.
That same day, Germany and the Netherlands played to a scoreless tie, meaning that things are wide open for any of the four teams to take control of the group with a win on Sunday.
Here's a look at the biggest moments from both of the matches from Day 5 in Sweden.
Norway 1, Netherlands 0
After having given away a couple of precious points against Iceland, the Norwegians took the field against the Dutch eager to redeem themselves.
In what was a fairly evenly contested match, the Dutch kept things close by maintaining possession of the ball for stretches, but they failed to generate many quality scoring chances despite registering seven shots on target.
For their part, the Norwegians only managed two shots on target. They strung together a handful of dangerous opportunities, but found themselves tied at the half.
