In terms of getting a new goal keeper I personally would not mind one but I think Almunia and Fabianski will still be our keepers for next season. The reason why I think this is because Wenger has a lot of belief in them and will want to give them more exposure next season to better themselves, it is the only way. Fair enough they have had a bad season with much criticism, but maybe this was due to lack of belief in our defence. But to some that is not an excuse, in saying that there were performances by Almunia that did impress such as the first half in the Barcelona match. It is those performances that I think will keep Almunia in the squad fro next season. If Almunia can perform that well against Barcelona then what is stopping him performing like that for Arsenal? Maybe a question that Wenger is asking himself, he will probably want to bring out that type of performance out of Almunia, so he'll keep him and let him develop further.
In terms of Fabianski, I think Wenger will keep him, there seems to be a strong belief in him, even Wenger said in his defence that the goalkeeper is the toughest position. So in conclusion I think Wenger will keep them both, with the knowledge that this season has been a learning curve to step it up for next season & that the enforced defence will give them much confidence.
A risky gamble if he does not buy a keeper?
