Toni Kroos Comments on England’s Euro 2016 Chances Ahead of Germany Friendly

The Berlin clash is part of advanced preparations for the summer's major tournament in France, with England also set to take on the Netherlands at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday.
As World Cup 2014 winners, Germany are well-fancied to go all the way in France, but Kroos believes England have a chance, and he picked out the pace in their squad as a potential key factor, per Jonathon Moar of Sky Sports.
"England are a very good team and have a good chance this summer," Kroos said. "If you look at their squad they've clearly got some good players. They know what they're doing and have fast attacking players. They may only be friendlies, but we want to try and win."
Germany boss Joachim Low also praised England, crediting Hodgson with overseeing recent improvements, per the Press Association's Simon Peach: "England has improved a lot recently due to the coach Roy Hodgson—he's had a big impact. It is difficult for us to play against them."
Since winning the World Cup just under two years ago, Low's side have had their struggles, losing to the likes of Republic of Ireland, USA and Poland, but they are still arguably the strongest team in Europe, per Bleacher Report's Sam Tighe:
Despite suffering two defeats, Germany came through on top of their qualifying group and will prove tough opponents for England at the Olympiastadion on Saturday.
However, Hodgson's side have reason for optimism. They were the only team to record a perfect 10 wins from 10 games in qualifying, and expectations are lower for this summer's Euros than they usually are.
