Togo vs. Tunisia: Emmanuel Adebayor Turns on Class as Togo Make Quarterfinals

The Sparrow Hawks drew 1-1 with Tunisia in their final Group D encounter, with a missed penalty by Khaled Mouelhi proving to be the crucial in their qualification.
The African country have never made it to the final eight of the tournament—making this occurrence even more special—and as Adebayor said, a truly special moment.
It was a master class in creativity and attacking brilliance from the Tottenham Hotspur striker, whose participation was originally in some doubt for the tournament. A late decision to go after all from Adebayor is turning out to be simply brilliant, with the striker showcasing off his skills against Tunisia—all without finding the back of the net himself.
Adebayor played through Serge Gakpe for the opening goal of the match with some wonderful creativity, despite the goal being scored from an offside position.
He would then threaten the goal consistently at the other end throughout the majority of the match—unable to get the goal to put the result away for Togo, but still more than threatening enough to keep the Tunisian attack grounded for the most part.
Adebayor was also clearly denied a penalty in the second half after Cherifia brought him down in the box without getting the ball, but the result remanded the same.
And for the striker, that was more than enough reward for him.
